The invention relates to a transport vehicle of which the useful loading space is situated in a specific compartment which may be separated from the moving body. It is comprised of a movable mechanical structure (20) and of one or a plurality of removable loading compartments (30) communicating with the driver's cabin. Specific devices (23...25/32..36/42) enable a single man to remove in a few minutes the loading compartments (30), thereby allowing to replace each of the constitutive elements by a similar element and/or to be used separately. The vehicle of the invention is particularly adapted to the transportation of valuable (rather than heavy) equipments such as workshops, offices, laboratories and other special equipments in all fields, always with a high flexibility of utilization.
