PURPOSE: To manufacture a joined portion with sufficient reliability by coating a joined surface with resorcin solution or the like, butting belt material end portions against each other, clamping these to each other, holding these in a heating press and sticking the joined surface. CONSTITUTION: Both ends 5 and 6 of a belt material are formed in zigzag shapes with angles of the side face of a finger shape portion 8 set to 7±2 deg. with respect to the longitudinal axis of a belt, resorcin solution, cresol solution, formic acid or mixed solution thereof is coated on a joined surface 7, then the ends are strongly pressed to each other, and pressed to the longitudinal axis from a right-angle direction by a clamp device and fixed. Then, heat, treatment is performed in a heating press by a pressure of 0.5 to 3 bar and at a temperature of 100 deg.C or lower for 5 to 20 min., and then the clamping is released, and these are placed in a room temperature after short-time cooling. Thus, as a result of welding only at the temperature of 100 deg. or lower, no damage is given to a rubber wear resistant layer in a joined portion area, and the end portion thereof is adhered with sufficient reliability. |
