PURPOSE:To make the detection accurately performable even at time of disconnection of a brake lamp or the like by installing a brake operation detecting means, which detects whether a brake is operated or not, so as to detect each level at both ends of a brake switch. CONSTITUTION:A shift locking device has a shift locking mechanism 2 locking operation of a select lever 1 and a key cylinder locking mechanism 4 checking any rotation of up to an unkeyed position of a key cylinder 3. With a control means 9, this shift locking mechanism 2 is made into an unlocking state by detection of a parking position by a shift position detecting means 8 and another detection of operation of a brake 5 by a brake operation detecting means 7, and the key cylinder locking mechanism 4 is controlled into an unlocking state by detection of the said parking position. In this case, the brake operation detecting means 7 is connected so as to detect each level at both ends of a key switch 6, thus such a detection that is high in reliability of the brake operation is made attainable. |
