PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a part of a braking device installed in an engine room in the braking device for an automobile having a bulkhead to part a passenger room from an engine room by arranging a master cylinder to penetrate an opening part formed in the bulkhead to be partially disposed in the passenger room. CONSTITUTION: A braking device installed on a bulkhead 1 parting an engine room 3 of an automobile from a passenger room 5 is provided with a master cylinder 7, and a pneumatic brake booster 9 controlled by actuation of a push rod 11 connected to a brake pedal. The master cylinder 7 has a flange 13 fastened to a front wall of the brake booster 9 by a screw and a nut. In this case, a back part of the master cylinder 7 is a little protruded into the brake booster 9, so the master cylinder 7 is arranged through an opening part formed in the bulkhead 1 to be partially disposed in the passenger room 5. |
