PURPOSE:To restrict the reduction of an efficiency and the generation of noize and vibration by a method wherein a deflecting plate is provided in a casing and strong jet stream, flows out of a runner, is deflected into the direction of a suction pipe. CONSTITUTION:When one sheet of the deflecting plate 10a is attached, the strong jet stream from the runner 5 is changed into downward stream by the deflecting plate 10a and rebounding phenomenon due to collision against the casing 7 will never be generated thereby restricting the reduction of the efficiency and the generation of noise and vibration. The deflecting plate 10a is located, in the vertical direction thereof, between a position in a plane having an angle alpha=8 deg. with respect to the tangential line (a) of the runner from an upper wall downstream end 2A defining the outlet port of the runner and another point having a distance of 1/4 times of the diameter D1 of the runner in the vertical direction with respect to the rotating axis 5A of the runner, while, in the horizontal direction thereof, between a point having the distance of 0.6 times of the diameter D1 of the runner from the center of the rotating axis 5A of the runner and the other point having the distance of 0.85 times of the same. |
