PURPOSE:To rise an arithmetic processing unit at high speed by reading firmware data from an external storage device simultaneously with the rise of a diagnosis controller, and storing the data to a local memory in the arithmetic processing unit. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with the rise of a diagnosis controller 1, a diagno sis control software (DS) starts execution by being loaded into the controller 1 by software in an external storage device 3. When the DS starts the execution, firmware data (FD) are read from the device 3 to make an arithmetic processing unit 2 operatable and the FD in the controller 1 are in the controller 1 are stored to a storage part 4. The FD are kept unless the power source of the controller 1 is interrupted or a change request is outputted from the device 3. In order to load the FD at high speed, transfer information are stored to an FD transfer storage part 5. At the time of rising the unit 2, the hardware information of the unit 2 are extracted and stored to a storage part 6. The FD are embedded based on the contents of the storage part 5 to the information and the hardware information of the unit 2 are loaded to the unit 2.
