PURPOSE:To enable to hold the optimum clearance in the meshing of both rotors upon actual operation by a method wherein the profile of the tooth at a normal temperature is obtained from the basic profiles of male and female rotors deformed by thermal shrinkage from the time of actual operation to the condition of the normal temperature. CONSTITUTION:The profile 9 of the rotor, which is the deformed basic profile 8 of the teeth of the male rotor 2 deformed by the thermal shrinkage from the actual operating time of the rotors 1, 2 to the normal temperature condition, and the profile 10 of the teeth of the female rotor 1, which is the deformed basic profile of the teeth of the female rotor 1 deformed by the thermal shrinkage from the actual operating time of the rotor 1 to the normal temperature condition, are obtained by a calcultion by means of limited element method based on a temperature distribution obtained by measuring the internal temperature of the rotor upon the actual operation thereof previously. Thus, the profile of the teeth at the normal temperature is determined by returning the profiles of the teeth of both rotors 1, 2, which are meshing with each other under thermaly expanded conditions upon the actual operation, to the profiles of the normal temperature, therefore, the minimum clearance may be kept between both profiles of both rotors upon the actual operation within whole area of the profiles, therefore, the performance of both rotors may be improved remarkably. |
