A lubricating compsn. comprises (A) 100 pts. wt. of polyorganosiloxane having a viscosity of 50 cSt or more at 25 deg. C, an organic gp. bonded to an Si-atom being a monovalent hydrocarbon gp. contg. no aliphatic unsatd. bonding, and (B) 0.01-20 pts. wt. of polymethylsilsesquioxane powder having an average particle size of 0.05-50 microns. Pref. (A) is a linear polydiorganosiloxane, esp. a polymethylphenylsiloxane or polydimethylsiloxane. The hydraulic fluid has an excellent shearing- and heat-resistance and is useful e.g. in a viscous coupling. The compsn. has an excellent lubricity and heat resistance.
