PURPOSE:To read English in a clear and natural pronunciation by suitably regulating a sounding speed according to the number of the reading beats of each English read character by character. CONSTITUTION:When a KANJI (Chinese character)/KANA (Japanese syllabary)- mixed sentence is inputted, a voice is synthesized based on the read and other phoneme information obtained by a linguistic analysis, the pause between words, accent combination, and other pitch information, and thus a sentence reader is composed. Further in English read character by character by a sounding speed regulating means, the sounding speed is determined according to the read beats, and the speed is regulated to a suitable value in a voice synthesizing processing. Thus the sounding rhythm at every character of English is arranged, an English can be read in the natural pronunciation. |
