PURPOSE:To extend the ON/OFF cycle of a printing head fan motor without imparting trouble to the cooling of a printing head by a method wherein the printing head fan motor is operated when the temp. of the printing head exceeds predetermined temp. and stopped when a state of predetermined temp. or lower continues for a definite period. CONSTITUTION:When the temp. of a printing head 3 is higher than predetermined temp. XO, a control part 1 sends out a start order signal and operates a printing head fan motor 6 through a fan control circuit 5 to cool the printing head 3. When the temp. of the printing head 3 becomes lower than the temp. XO, the control part 1 operates a timer circuit 7. Thereafter, the timer circuit 7 sends out a delay signal when a definite period is elapsed. The control part 1 sends out a stop order signal to the fan control circuit 5 on the basis of said delay signal. Further, when the temp. of the printing head 3 exceeds the temp. XO within a definite period, the control part 1 resets the timer circuit 7 and again operates the timer circuit 7 when the temp. of the printing head 3 becomes lower than the temp. XO to operate the printing head fan motor 6 until a state lower than the temp. XO continues. |
