PURPOSE:To enhance image density, resolution, fixability and the like and to prevent strike through, offset and the like by using a a cyclopentadiene type polymer for a toner binder. CONSTITUTION:The cyclopentadiene type polymer is used as the toner binder. The polymer well disperses an organic pigment and an inorganic pigment, so it may be used for kneading it with the pigment at high temperature to produce a colorant, or for dispersing this resin and the pigment into a dispersing medium to produce the colorant, and since the cyclopentadiene type monomer has many allyl groups in the molecule and it is liable to cause radical polymerization, it can be used for an ultraviolet hardenable fixable toner, thus permitting image density, resolution, and fixability, and the like to be enhanced, and strike through offset and the like to be prevented. |
