<p>Thermosetting compsn. contains a mixt. or prepolymer reaction prod. of (a) diaminophenylindane-bis-maleimide and (b) amine, alkenyl phenol and/or alkenyl phenol ether. The compsn. contains 0.05-2.0. pref. 1 mole (b) per mole (a). (b) may be a mixt. of the amine and phenol in 19:1 to 1:19 to 1:9 wt. ratio. The compsn. is claimed for use in laminates impregnated with the mixt. or prepolymer. It can be used for making prepregs, composites, adhesives, circuit boards, castings, mouldings, (tough) coatings etc. The compsn. has high reactivity, good solubility in common solvents and good stabiliy in the melt or in soln.</p> |
