Photochemical stabilisation of dyed wool comprises treating the wool with an aq. soln. contg. a light protection agent chosen from sterically hindered amines and their water soluble salts. The sterically hindered amine pref. contains at least one gp. of formula (I) in the mol. in which R = H or Me. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process gives dyed wool prods. with excellent light stability using aq. treatment baths.
