PURPOSE:To prevent the offset for a long time, by bringing an oil supply member for offset prevention into contact with the surface of one of a pair of press rolls and bringing a cleaning member independent of this oil supply member into press-contact with press rolls. CONSTITUTION:In case of pressure fixing, an oil supply member 1 consisting of sponge impregnated with oil is brought into contact with the surface of either one of press rolls 3 and 5, which has the toner image of a recording medium, to supply always a constant quantity of oil, and toner is not stuck to the surface of the press roll 3 to prevent the offset. A cleaning member 2 consists of, for example, felt and is brought into press-contact with the surface of the press roll 3 to scrape the toner stuck to the surface of the roll. The oil supply member 1 consists of such materials that a toner film is not formed on the surface, and this member 1 is brought softly into contact with the surface of the roll. Thus, the number of times of the use before the generation of the offset is increased considerably. |
