Photothermographic compsn. contains a photocurable comspn. and dyestuff(s) of formula ((IA), (IB), (IC) and/or (ID): where Q = a ring of the formula (II) where Ar1 and Ar2 = (hetero)aryl, which can be joined to a ring; R1-6 = H, alk(en)yl, aralkyl or (hetero)aryl but R1 and R2 not both = H; Y = CN, NO2, SO2-R7, -SO-R7, CO-R7, COO-R7 or CONR7R8; R7-8 = H, alk(en)yl, aralkyl or (hetero)aryl; A = a gp. completing a 5-6-membered ring; X- = a gp. with electric charge -1; ring Q in (IB) and (ID) may be condensed with an aromatic or heterocyclic ring; and Ar1, Ar2, R1, R2, ring A and ring Q may have other substits.
