PURPOSE:To simplify process and maintenance, and to form a color photographic image at low cost, by providing a polymer layer not transmitting a diffusible dye but an alkaline processing soln., on color diffusion transfer type photographic elements. CONSTITUTION:Photographic element 16 consist of a transparent support 1 and successively laminated layers; a neutralization layer 2, a timing layer 3, an image receiving layer 4, a light reflection layer 5, a layer 6 contg. a cyan DRR compd., a red-sensitive emulsion layer 7 a neutralization layer 8, a layer 9 contg. a magenta DRR compd., a green-sensitive emulsion layer 10, a neutralization layer 11, a layer 12 contg. a yellow DRR compd., a blue-sensitive emulsion layer 13, a neutralization layer 14, and a polymer layer 15 transmitting an alkaline processing soln., but not a diffusible dye resulting from development. These elements are imagewise exposed to visible light, and immersed in a nonviscous alkaline processing soln., thus permitting silver halide to be imagewise developed in each emulsion layer 7, 10, 13, and diffusible dyes to result from the layers 6, 9, 12 imagewise, and the image receiving layer 4 to be imagewise dyed. |
