The invention relates to a valve with a valve housing (1) and a valve element (20) arranged adjustably thereon. The said valve element is connected to a fastening portion (23) to which an adjusting tool (32) can be applied from outside. A protective part (25) is provided and this can be arranged removably on the valve housing, where it covers the actuating portion (23). Connected permanently to the protective part (25) is an adjusting tool (32) which, with the protective parts (25) removed from the valve housing (1), can be applied to the actuating portion (23). <IMAGE>
