A description is given of a box profile produced mainly by extrusion from light metal, as can be used, in particular, as a load-bearing profile for vehicle frames, boat trailers or the like. The profile exhibits two profile chambers which are designed as longitudinal members and are connected by a web, at least one chamber wall, which directly borders the web, sloping at an angle other than 90@ with respect to said web. Fastening continuations are provided in pairs on the box profile for the accommodation and fixed connectability of transverse members. The fastening continuations are arranged between the profile chambers and their width does not engage over the region within the web. The fastening continuations are designed as angle profiles and at least one angle profile is fitted on the web in the spacing between the two profile chambers. <IMAGE>
