PURPOSE:To improve performance without increasing the weight of the sails, by making the hard sail freely rotatable, and winding the soft sail around the hard sail. CONSTITUTION:The hard sail 1 is attached to a mast 4 by way of bearings 3 so that the sail can be freely rotated. The soft sail 2 is attached to the hard sail 1, and the end part of the soft sail 2 is connected to a rope 15. Said rope 15 is wound by an outhaul winch 12 and the soft sail 2 is spread. Wire 8 is wound by a winch 10, and the direction of a boom 6 and the sail 2 is determined. A furling gear 11 rotates the hard sail 1, and the soft sail 2 is wound around the hard sail 1. Since a winding drum and the like are not provided in the hard sail 1, the thin constitution can be obtained. |
