PURPOSE:To prevent the interior of a cassette case from drying and to clean a film by longitudinally moving an endless film by a thermal head and a tension mechanism, and bringing the endless film into contact with an ink absorber or a washer liquid absorber in a switching manner. CONSTITUTION:When a protrusion 8 is pressed on a recording sheet on a platen by a spring attached to a carriage, a cassette case 1 is moved rearward, a gap between the recording sheet and a thermal head 13 is simultaneously held, and the thermal head 13 and an endless film 11 is pulled to the recording sheet side. In this case, the endless film 11 near a tension mechanism 5 is brought into contact with the ink absorber 6 of an ink supply unit 3. Since the protrusion 8 pressed on the recording sheet is removed from the platen during nonprinting, the cassette case 1 is moved forward, and the endless film is pulled to the cassette case side by the tension mechanism 5. In this instance, the endless film 11 near the tension mechanism 5 is brought into contact with the wafer absorber 7 of a washer liquid supply unit 4. |
