Peanut-containing compositions and other proteinaceous plant solids and fat-containing compositions are provided which are gravitationally-stabilized with water-soluble, edible polydextrose which includes polycarboxylic acid cross-linking agents dissolved in water and acts to prevent or inhibit oil separation from the predominantly hydrophilic proteinaceous solids of the compositions. The polydextrose is dissolved in water. The present compositions are preferably pumpable at 60 DEG C. and solid or semi-solid at 20 DEG C.
