<p>PURPOSE:To improve surface quality and thickness accuracy of a product by numerically detecting roll surface roughness and quantitatively and theoretically changing a pass schedule in accordance with degree of the roughness and situation. CONSTITUTION:A frequency (fi) and an amplitude Ai or respective rolling loads Pi(t) detected in (n) number of stands Fi (i=1,...n) installed in tandem are found. A surface roughness index Bi indicating a surface roughness condition in respective stands Fi is calculated based on the found frequency (fi) and amplitude Ai, an outlet side sheet thickness set value (h'i) in the case of rolling a succeeding stock is calculated by dividing an outlet sheet thickness set value (hi) by the index Bi. A roll gap Si of respective stands Fi is calculated based on the outlet side sheet thickness set value (h'i). A roll gap of respective stands Fi for rolling a succeeding stock is set to be a calculated roll gap Si. Hence, stable rolling is performed.</p> |
