PURPOSE:To automatically select the designated size of a form so as to form an image by selecting a feed means housing corresponding forms in based on the key actuation of an actuating section or the designation of a form size from a host equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the size of a form is designated by the key actuation at an actuating section 8 of a printer main body 1 or from a host equipment 63, a control section 61 selects a feed means housing the corresponding size of forms in based on signals from the form size detecting means 72, 73 and 82 of a plural cassette feed device 2, an envelope feed/delivery device 3 or form availability detecting means 76, 77 and 84. Then, the control section drives a corresponding feed motor 78 and 79, or a feed delivery motor 85 so that an image is formed by the printer main body 1 in accordance with image information from the host equipment 63. By this constitution, the designated size of a form is automatically selected so that the image can thereby be formed. |
