<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the time of composite curved surface processing and to prepare the NC data of satisfactory machining accuracy by changing the size of a patch with being matched to the respective curved surface shapes of composite curved surfaces and preparing peculiar mesh data for each curved surface. CONSTITUTION:In a composite curved surface SS where three-dimensional freely curved surfaces SS1 and SS2 are made composite, when the respective three-dimensional freely curved surfaces are divided into the fine patches and the mesh data are prepared to specify the curved surface, cut pitches are designated to determine the size of the patches respectively for each three- dimensional freely curved surface. Namely, concerning the curved surface SS1 of the complex shape, cut pitches are set small and concerning the simple curved surface SS2, cut pitches a2 and b2 are set large. Then, composite curved surface data are obtained. Thus, the processing time is shortened to obtain the mesh data and as a whole, the time of the curved surface processing can be shortened with the high accuracy.</p> |
