<p>A method is provided of manufacturing pulverulent polymaleic anhydrides in which maleic anhydride is polymerized in an organic solvent in the presence of a dispersant. Polymerization results in high yields of polymaleic anhydride, as a colorless or faintly colored powder. The method requires a lower concentration of radical-forming agent and gives an increased conversion or maleic anhydride, as compared with previously known methods.</p> |
