The mechanism is used in tea or coffee machines to deliver hot water to cups containing soluble granules or powder. Water is fed into a reservoir (10) which has a level detector (26). When the control circuit (24) is triggered, a pump (16) forces the water out of the heating unit (14) to be discharged via the spout (22). The control unit is fed with a pre-set required temp. signal (28) and a signal from a temp. sensor (20) in the heating unit. The control unit controls the pump (16) and the current fed to the heat exchanger element (18) in the water filled heating unit (14) to maintain the output water temp. within a narrow range. @(14pp Dwg.No.1/6)@.
