This strut, of telescopic type, is more simplified and secure than known struts and, in addition, easy to handle, for which purpose provision has been made for an element for locking the extendible inner tube, consisting of a frame which is guided transversely in said tube and which comprises a coplanar inner peg which is inserted selectively in holes in this inner tube, this frame resting on a bush slipped freely over said tube and carrying integrally, laterally, a blind bush which is coupled and rests on the end of a screw for adjusting the locking, which screw is threaded onto a nut integral with the outer tube of the strut, next to its upper opening. <IMAGE>
