A system for delivering unit portions of sterilized threads, in which the thread is cut to the desired length, the thread is inserted between two flat polygonal plates, the internal faces of which are plasticizable, placing the ends of the portion of thread on the opposite lateral edges of the plates, and the perimetric edges of the plasticizable plates are heat-sealed in order to cause the formation of a hermetically sealed envelope, inside which the portion of thread is freely occluded, and the ends thereof are secured on the sealed opposite edges of the envelope. <IMAGE>
