PURPOSE: To enable the enhancement of the speed of combining two images to generate a compound image by providing the 1st and 2nd means for storing graphic images. CONSTITUTION: A graphic control 308 and a compound circuit configuration 312 control the transfer of pixel data between a video memory 306 and the main memory 304. Pixel data for an image to be displayed is stored in both the memories 306 and 304. The memory 306 stores 2 bits of grey level data for each pixel of the images to be displayed, while the memory 304 stores 2 bits of unclear data for each pixel. Further, the memory 304 copies data from the memory 306 to the memory 304, deforms pixel data in the memory 304, and copies data to be displayed on the back of the last compound image to the memory 306 when completing the composition. |
