Improvements to the installation for creating areas of low subpressure in the back of elevations and floors of canals, tanks and other receptacles for liquid, consisting of a draining region which includes a tubular element housing a threaded piece, in which there is a system with an elastic ball valve of specific gravity (unit weight) determined in order to achieve the permissible subpressure, this piece being closed by a flexible cover which is grooved peripherally in the area opposite the direction of the current. An arcuate trigger included in the side of the corresponding upstream conduit of the current and reaching as far as the upper area of the cover prevents solid entrained materials from impeding proper operation of the system. This conduit and abutment (stirrup) with trigger is fixed to the floor by means of a low-retraction plasticized mortar.
