It comprises a tank 1 filled with water fixed to the bottom of the vessel 2, inside which tank 1 there is a floating hollow cylinder 7 closed on all its sides and mounted between a plurality of rods 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 which oscillate in the upper part of the tank 1 and are tangential to the surface of the cylinder 7, guiding it laterally in such a manner that when the vessel 2 moves the displacement of the tank 1 and with it the displacement of the water from one side of the cylinder 7 to the other occurs, the centre of gravity of the tank 1 being displaced, as a result of which the action of the mass of water and the thrust of the cylinder 7 tend to place the vessel 2 in the rest position. It also comprises a plurality of stop pieces 16, 17 in the vertical direction in order to prevent its displacement on account of upward thrust. It reduces the rolling and pitching of the vessel. <IMAGE>
