Mechanisms which act on a system of concentric valves and which consist essentially of a double-arm rocker or lever, a thermal insulating bush for the inside of the outer valve, a region of expansion rings with connection to the lubrication circuit of the engine which acts as insulating mechanism between the two gas regions, and finally an alternative device to the previous one which consists of a thick membrane connected between the cylinder head and the outer valve. <IMAGE>
