PURPOSE:To enable blocking of high-speed electron beam or regulation of the passing of electron beams to be performed with a low voltage by providing a plate-like body with plural penetrating holes which are perpendicular to the surface of the said body, and connecting the electrodes of the said body to a voltage source which applies voltage which changes so that the electron beams sweep from one of the said electrodes to the other. CONSTITUTION:Before the output voltage of a high-speed lamp voltage generator 73 begins to vary, electron beams discharged from a photoelectric surface 63 becomes incident upon penetrating holes 75 of a plate-like body 64. However, since an electric field develops in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the holes 75 due to the difference between the electric potentials of electrodes 67 and 68, the above electron beams deflect before they bump against and are absorbed by the inner walls of the holes 75. The changing speed of voltage applied to the electrodes 67 and 68 should be as fast as the changing or moving speed of a photographed subject. Since the plate-like body 64 is located adjacent and facing to the photoelectric surface 63, any focusing electrode is unnecessary, and the energy of the electron beams incident upon the body 64 don't have to be more than 1 kilovolt. Accordingly, voltage applied to the electrodes 67 and 68 of the body 64 can be reduced. |
