This process is characterized by the polymerization of a monomer capable of forming a transparent lens material by means of polymerization, in order to obtain an intraocular lens, addition, as essential component, of at least one dye of the yellow, yellowish brown and orange dyes, and, as optional component, a UV absorber and a crosslinking monomer. The intraocular lens obtained according to the present invention has a light-absorption characteristic close to that of the lens of human crystallin and is effective for correcting cyanopsia.
