This is a mechanism which makes it possible, automatically, to transmit the rotation of a tractor to the axles of its trailer, especially if this is a multi- axle trailer. The mechanism is housed in the swanneck [gooseneck] of the trailer and consists of a plate for supporting the fifth wheel of the tractor, and on this plate is housed the kingpin and the transmission elements, the rotary movement between the tractor and the trailer being produced in the upper part of the plate and the lower part of the chassis. Rotation between both through 90 degree is obtained to the right and left of the direction of travel and skidding of the wheels is prevented. <IMAGE>
