PURPOSE:To improve seal performance by forming a seal groove at the forward end surface of each lap of a fixed and a rotary scroll, engaging a chip seal in each through a seal seat, and forming concave parts and convex parts alternately at the bottom of the seal seat continuously. CONSTITUTION:In a scroll type fluid device having fixed and rotary scrolls 7, 8 each having a lap 13, 14 provided spirally on the front surface of a mirror plate 11, 12 respectively installed with the laps 13, 14 engaged with each other, a seal groove 40 is formed at the forward end surface of the lap 13 of the fixed scroll 7 (similar to the rotary scroll 8). A chip seal 41 is engaged in this seal groove 40 through a seal seat 42. This seal seat 42 is formed having concave parts 42a... and convex parts 42b... of resilient material such as fleon- resistant rubber or the like alternately provided continuously along the length. Seal for the radial direction between the mirror plates 11, 12 and seal under the chip seal 41 are thus made possible simultaneously. |
