The cross-country vehicle without spring suspension, for working on slopes has a torsionally-rigid chassis, to which are attached swivellable axles. Weight transmission takes place directly to each wheel via a vertical, hydraulic ram (13,15) coupling it to the chassis (1). The rams are hydraulically interconnected so that all wheels take the vehicle weight at all times. Thus the axles follow the surface of the ground, keeping the chassis stable and reducing shock loads. In addition the chassis is permanently locked to prevent tilting sideways. ADVANTAGE - Max. protection against overturning.
