PURPOSE:To calcine chips of uniform qualities with good working efficiency by disposing uncalcined dielectric porcelains on a shelf comprising an inorg. plate with high porosity having many through holes, and calcining the porcelains in a neutral (reductive) atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:The uncalcined dielectric porcelain 4 such as laminated ceramic chip capacitors are disposed on the inorg. shelf 3' such as alumina, zirconia or carbon nitride with high porosity having many through holes, and then calcined in a neutral or reductive atmosphere. By this method, the gas supplied from the furnace wall freely flows from the lower side of the shelf 3' to the upper side of the shelf 3' on which the chips 4 are disposed. Therefore, the lower layer of the heap of the chips 4 contacting to the shelf 3' can be exposed to the reductive atmosphere. Thus, dielectric porcelains of uniform qualities can be obtained. |
