PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition freed of problems of scumming and poor transfer during printing by mixing a specified normally solid alkyd resin composition with a radical-polymerizable double bond-containing monomer and optionally a radical polymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:A normally solid alkyd resin composition produced by reacting an acid component containing an alkylated tetrahydrophthalic acid or hexahydrophthalic acid in which the alkyl group is of 2-12 C or an anhydride thereof [e.g. a compound of formula I or II (wherein R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are each H or a 2-12 C alkyl)] with an alcohol (e.g. glycerol) is mixed with a monomer having a radical-polymerizable double bond [e.g. methyl (meth)acrylate] and optionally a radical polymerization initiator (e.g. benzophenone). In this way, the title composition which can be cured by irradiation with ultraviolet rays, electron beams or the like and is freed of problems of scumming and poor transfer during printing can be obtained. |
