Aviation propeller with cylindrical blades producing a "Magnus effect". The invention relates to an aviation propeller with improved efficiency and performance and reduced sound level whose characteristic is to be made up of cylindrical blades turning freely by virtue of ball bearings around shafts fixed to a hub. These cylindrical blades, sensitive to the action of the relative wind (created by the rotation of the propeller) by virtue of the presence of profiled blades, arranged peripherally at their extremity, generate, by their own rotation, a traction or propulsion force by using the Magnus effect. The rotation of the blades may also be brought about by virtue of a gearing system and a power take-off on the propeller mounting shaft.
