The mechanical counter has a series of numbered rollers (11) that are supported on a shaft mounted in bearing plates (15) at each end. Each roller represents a decade and carry transfers are handled by switching rollers positioned between each decade roller. The bearing plates have formed lugs that engage in holes formed in carrier plate (20). The plate may be an electrical circuit board or metallic screening plate. Mounted beneath the plate is electrical drive motor (30) that is mounted on and connected to an electrical circuit board (40). USE/ADVANTAGE - Electricity meter.
