The invention relates to a single-piece blank for a folding box which is made of cardboard or the like, is essentially cuboid, whose size can be defined in advance and whose essential feature is a slope of at least one side wall. In order to enable such a folding box to be erected in the usual manner, i.e. even on customary automatic erecting devices, by means of a positive-locking engagement of the pivoting flaps, forming the sloping side wall, with one another in the state having a previously defined size, a slidable connection of said flaps is provided. This connection remains intact during the erection operation and brings about the fact that the sloping side wall is formed without further external aids. <IMAGE>
