<p>PURPOSE:To perfectly prevent an explosion in a heating chamber by heating the heating chamber to a specified temp. range, and keeping the temp. for a specified time at the time of heating oil-contg. iron sludge. CONSTITUTION:The powder of oil-contg. iron or iron oxide, namely the oil- contg. iron sludge, is heated in the heating furnace to remove the oil. In this case, the operation is carried out as described below. Namely, the heating chamber packed with the sludge is firstly heated to 100-120 deg.C, and the temp. is kept for 10-200min. Since an explosion in the heating furnace is perfectly prevented by this method, the operation is stabilized and made safe. The comparison in the number of times of explosion between the operation under the above- mentioned conditions and the operation when the heating chamber is heated to 410-500 deg.C in one step is listed in Table 1.</p> |
