Ski with core and plastics covering - has trough in upper cover to hold transparent plate

The ski comprises a core (3) covered on its top and side faces by a plastics layer (2). In the upper face of the plastics layer is a trough (11) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the ski, so that a plate (12) of plastics pref. of transparent material is stuck or embedded in the trough. The thickness of the plate is smaller or greater than the depth of the trough. Company marks or designs can be placed on the underneath of the plate. ADVANTAGE - The appearance of the ski can be influenced by colouring and designs.
