A mount for a leaf spring with a spring eye at one end includes a spring pin 30 extending through said spring eye and through an aperture in an aperture-providing means 50 rotatably mounted in a spring hanger 18f to which said end of said leaf with said spring eye is interconnected. The spring hanger has an upper portion by which it is attached to a chassis frame and a depending portion has a transverse opening in which said aperture-providing means is rotatably mounted, the depending portion being bifurcated, as shown, from the bottom up by a slot extending upwardly into said transverse opening therein. A horizontal opening extends fore-and-aft through said depending portion and through the lower portion of said aperture-providing means 50, a clamping belt 41 extending through said opening. The lower portion of said aperture- providing means 50 is bifurcated to receive the clamping bolt with sufficient upward clearance permitting said aperture- providing means to be rotated through a substantial angle, the outboard side of said aperture-providing means having a tool-engageable formation 52 thereon to permit adjustment thereof by a tool, the aperture in said aperture-providing means 50 being eccentrically located therein so that the pin 30 can be displaced horizontally (eg. 60). <IMAGE> |
