PURPOSE:To track and identify automatically the arriving direction of a sound from a specific moving sound source by inputting sound absorbing signals from two microphones to a correlative function calculator through spectral extracting filters. CONSTITUTION:The non-directional microphones 1, 2 are arranged on a vertical axis. These microphones 1, 2 absorbe arriving sounds from an aircraft 9 in flying or a noise source 10 on the ground and supply the absorbed sounds to the mutual correlative function calculator 5 through spectral characteristic extracting filters 3, 4. The output of the correlative function calculator 5 is inputted to a maximum/minimum detecting circuit 8 through a smoothing circuit 6 and a differentiator 7. One of inputs to the correlative function calculator 5 is delayed so that the maximum value or minimum value of the correlative function signal obtained from the correlative function calculator 5 on a measuring time difference axis has a prescribed relation, and sound arrival from the direction corresponding to the delay value is identified. |
