<p>The stabilised platform is suitable for mounting a radio-antenna or television camera requiring stabilisation against transverse and longitudinal oscillations and has an improved control system arrangement. This maintains pitch and roll compensation when the antenna is rotated about the azimuth axis with a dominant torque. The control system uses two angular deviation signals representing deviations in roll and pitch and referenced to orthogonal axes fixed w.r.t. to the rotating part mounted on the platform. The deviation signals are processed to provide pitch and roll compensation signals.</p> |
