<p>A method of encapsulating a tendon tensioning anchor (202) comprising the steps of loading an anchor (202) into a mold (200) such that the mold (200) defines the exterior shape of an encapsulation, placing the encapsulation material into the mold (200) so as to generally cover the desired exterior surface of the anchor (202), solidifying the encapsulation material until the encapsulation material securely covers the anchor (202), and removing the anchor (202) from the mold (200). This method further comprises the step of pressurizing the encapsulation material within the mold (200) so as to remove air pockets interposed between the anchor (202) and the encapsulation. Also, this method includes the steps of forming a tubular portion extending outwardly from the encapsulation surrounding the anchor (202) and forming a receiving area on the other side of the anchor (202) extending outwardly from the encapsulation. A support structure (206) is placed through the anchor (202) so as to suspend the anchor (202) within the mold (200) and so as to center the anchor (202) within the mold (200).</p> |
