<p>A composition for topical application to the skin adjacent a locus of inflammation includes an oil, being linseed oil or a substantially equivalent oil thereto, or an effective amount of a component thereof, as the primary pain relieving agent. The composition also includes a thinner or solvent therefor which assists in moving the said agent through the skin to said locus. The thinner may have a synergistic effect on the activity of the agent. A method for the relief of inflammation by using the aforementioned composition is also provided.</p> |
