PURPOSE:To perform a display not in an unsightly state by providing movable panels on both sides, moving the movable panels interlocking with the aspect ratio of a video displayed on a screen, and hiding a part not being displayed by the panel. CONSTITUTION:The panels 60 and 70 are provided on front right and left side of the screen 50, and their surfaces are covered with black cloth such as velvet not reflecting light. The panels 60 and 70 are fixed on a part of a wire 85, and the wire 85 is rotated by a motor 90 and a roller 80. When the motor 90 is rotated in a clockwise direction, the panels 60 and 70 are separated from each other, and adversely, when it is rotated in a counterclockwise direction, they are closed. In the case of adding a video signal with, e.g. the aspect ratio 3:4, the panels 60 and 70 are controlled as shown in figure (a). Also, when oblong video software is used, they are opened as shown in figure (b). In such a manner, it is possible to hide the part where no video exists corresponding to the aspect ratio. |
